English Name: Chinese Parsley
Latin Name: Coriandrum sativum
Also called Cilantro or Chinese Parsley. Slow bolting coriander is a little more stable than normal coriander and less likely to bolt in extreme weather but has exactly the same flavour and characteristics. Coriander has a dark green foliage and good pungency. Annual. Height 40cm.
Coriander should be continually harvested as a “cut and come again” herb. The roots are used in many Thai dishes.
Keep moist and remove flowers as they form. Grow in part shade in summer but sun in cooler months.
Indispensable in Chinese, Thai and Mexican cuisine. Roots are also used as a seasoning.
