Coriander Slowbolt

English Name: Chinese Parsley

Latin Name: Coriandrum sativum

Description:
Also called Cilantro or Chinese Parsley. Slow bolting coriander is a little more stable than normal coriander and less likely to bolt in extreme weather but has exactly the same flavour and characteristics. Coriander has a dark green foliage and good pungency. Annual. Height 40cm.

Harvesting:
Coriander should be continually harvested as a “cut and come again” herb. The roots are used in many Thai dishes.

Best Results:
Keep moist and remove flowers as they form. Grow in part shade in summer but sun in cooler months.

Uses:
Indispensable in Chinese, Thai and Mexican cuisine. Roots are also used as a seasoning.
