English Name: Chinese Lettuce

Latin Name: Brassica japonica

Description:
Vigorous Japanese Green with stunning dark green indented leaves and mild crisp flavour. Delicious. Mizuna is a stunning plant amongst the vegetable garden or even to provide greenery amongst flowering annuals. Annual. Height 30cm.

Harvesting:
Continually harvest or “cut and come again” when leaves are only 10cm long.

Best Results:
Use often to encourage new growth. Fertilise regularly with compost or high nitrogen liquid fertiliser.

Uses:
Add leaves to salads and sandwiches or include in meat dishes at the last minute. Mizuna leaves are commonly included in continental salad mixes bought at grocers and supermarkets.
